Lenovo is having some quite good deals with their desktops n notebooks. As for home users, Lenovo Y410 is quite a good deal:

Acer is having a Great Singapore sale roadshow at Funan IT mall. From their website, I like the Aspire 4920G series. Around the specs which I m looking for. For eg. Aspire 4920G-6A3G25Mn is jus below my budget. At additional $200 more gives a better processor n 1Gb more ram.. seems to b the general trend.

- Acer is a taiwan brand. Many critics, good n bad from many ppl. Sis is using it, n it's still doing fine. I guess some ppl r jus suay to get the few "not so good" set.. to be considered though.
