More notebook options

Lenovo is having some quite good deals with their desktops n notebooks. As for home users, Lenovo Y410 is quite a good deal:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo processor T5550 (1.83GHz, 667MHz) ok
2Gb DDR2 SDRAM ok
160Gb storage ok
14" WXGA ok
Windows Vista(R) Home Premium ok
Intel(R) Graphic media accelerator X3100 ok
S$1399 (with 6mth free McAfee Internet security suite) ok

- Overall, very good spec. Can upgrade to Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo T8100 (2.10GHz, 800MHz) and 250Gb HDD at a price $450, quite reasonable, but overall my budget with tis..

Acer is having a Great Singapore sale roadshow at Funan IT mall. From their website, I like the Aspire 4920G series. Around the specs which I m looking for. For eg. Aspire 4920G-6A3G25Mn is jus below my budget. At additional $200 more gives a better processor n 1Gb more ram.. seems to b the general trend.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo processor T5750 (2.0GHz, 667MHz) ok
2Gb DDR2 SDRAM ok
250Gb storage ok
14.1" WXGA ok
Windows Vista(R) Home Premium ok
ATI Mobility(TM) Radeon HD 2400XT ok
S$1498 ok

- Acer is a taiwan brand. Many critics, good n bad from many ppl. Sis is using it, n it's still doing fine. I guess some ppl r jus suay to get the few "not so good" set.. to be considered though.
