Long haul flight to Vienna

Category: , , By @nGeline
My conference trip to Vienna was realli super dramatic... My colleague Dizhong went with me for this conference held in Vienna.

First, my long haul flight to Zurich was delayed 2.5hrs... my connecting flight was originally scheduled 3hrs after I arrived Zurich, so bopian hv to change to a later time. which was another 2hrs later.

When we arrived Zurich, we actually hv 40min, n we tried our luck.. we did hv the time to make it for our original flight lor. so zzzz... now hv to wait for the next flight. I was so bloated tat I hv to drink something hot.. - hot english tea.

n after tat our connecting flight to Vienna was also delayed... another 30min.... so so so faint..........

Sighz.. took us ages to reach our hotel, which to our disappointment wasn't as good as we think. The room tarrif was 190Euro per day, quite ex for such a standard. The only thing I m happi abt tis hotel is the free internet access =p =p =p now no more complaint.

The internet access was a bit slow, took me ages to upload my pics. Here are the pics taken on my first day of arrival, Very very slow.. haiz..

I looked quite tired from the pic, so tried not to take too many pics... =X Instead I took Dizhong's pics. haha. Our U-Bahn ride to the city center since we chose our hotel near the venue which is at the suburban area.

Our first stop - Stephansplatz. The most notable attraction is the cathedral. I find it very beautifully done. even better than those I saw in Paris. This is the place where we saw the most ppl. Street performance, ppl enjoying their afternoon tea at the cafe. Talking about cafe, they r everywhere!! The ppl here love drinking at the pMy next hotel will b around tat area. Tink I will go there walk again.

We walked around the area, had lunch too. I had grilled fish, din take pics, cos I totally forgot abt it.. But I took pics of my food the following days. will upload when I m free. Saw quite a number of horse carriages. The ppl here realli like very ancient style of travelling ard the city.

Another thing tat I observed was that there r a lot of pubs n cafes. Ppl here love to sit ard, drink coffee, tea or beer. Ver relaxed way of life sia.. we can't do this in sg for sure.. too carefree for our living style... sigh...

Our last destination of the day - the Donauinsel river. My Austrian colleague told me tat it's no diff from our Singapore river.. But i find the atmosphere from tis river is super refreshing. Though there's nothing around the river, saw ppl cycling, jogging etc. but the feeling is super good. I guess the residential housing near this river mus b exp...

Many pics to follow... super slow in the uploading, cos the hotel internet conneciton is super slow.. =_=
