My Indian trip part 2

Category: , , , By @nGeline
24th Oct was the actual wedding day. We were told to go to his hse so tat we can watch the preparation of the groom for praying + ceremony, as well as the dancing part by his relatives n frens. Realli veri interesting. They like to use the fake sword, do some act, then dancing. Like a celebration for the wedding. Eye-opening experience for me since I have nv seen such grand wedding b4. The family is very accommodating to allow us girls to watch. I remember seeing some of the nieces n sis-in-laws hiding in the hse, not able to see the dancing.. faint.. so strict...

After the dancing, Khalid went into the hse to get "groomed up". His mum, sis-in-laws n nieces will help out, making him wear tat heavy "flower outfit" Din manage to get the right name from them......

After he was ready to go pray at the mosque, we took a few pics with him =)

After tat, we followed the ladies to the wedding function hall. The ladies n men were separated at the venue, even for the married couple. I heard tat if the wife or hubby has any msg to pass, they will use handphone or call their kid to pass msg.. so so so strict....

One more thing is tat very doubel standard at the wedding ceremony. Some of them told us we can go to the men's side to watch the ceremony, as we r outsiders + non-Muslims. Then his bros aint happi to see us there, so hv to go back to the ladies' hall.... walked here n thr, always chased back.. sianz.. Sigh....

Dinner was simple, but the briryani was superb. Their costumes r realli very shiny n bright. Kuna says Muslims like it tat way, I guess... Hmmm... Due to their religion, it will b rude to comment on the bride. Actually took pics with the bride, nieces n sis-in-laws, but cannot show... =X

26th is the reception, hosted by the groom side. Tis time round, we remembered to take some pics b4 going thr... forgot abt tis on the wedding day...

The lower left pic r Khalid's childhood fren Raj, n his elder sister. Raj is veri nice to bring us around on the wedding day itself. Realli find tat Indian ppl r very hospitable esp when u visit their hometown.

Overall, enjoyed the wedding, reception, n my town ard Hyderabad. Went to quite a number of place, but tink I m not putting up the pics.. jus too many pics.. Will put up the pics from Kerala for my part 3.. =)
