Had lunch at Clementi on Friday, our usual since e shutter bus goes there every Fri.. Chang Kai and Chai Ping ordered hongkong mee, n it costs $4??!! I realli can't believe it. Realli tink tat they overcharge as hongkong mee normally cost $3 or $3.50. Drinks goes from $1 to $1.20. Same goes to petrol (can't complain much on tis as I HAVE to pay it no matter how exp it is...).
My colleague Stephanie told me her cab fare from work to Holland v costs $1 more than tat 2 months ago. Her utility bills were 1.5x more than tat of last few months, n she claims tat there's no diff in her usage of air-con etc... My cab fare from home to airport seems to be $3 more than a yr back. Another colleague of mine Anders says his rent increases from $1600 to $3500 (it was $4200 initially ~~>_<~~) for a 3 bedroom apartment. Even my sports channel subscription increases from $15.75 to $26.25 (havent exclude hubber club discount).
Everything is going up.. is living in Singapore getting harder? Even if we get salary increment of $300 for instance, tis is not enuff to cover all these living expenses.. we save lesser n lesser, still eat the same type of food, live e same lifestyle as usual.. Tis is realli depressing zZzzz...
