Nice Mini Vaio

My colleague Leon was telling me about this new pocket PC from Sony Vaio this morning. The dimensions is smaller than that of Asus Eee. I guess the price would b a lot more than the present pocket PCs the market.. I guess i would prefer a PSP to this, as I seldom surf the internet when I m outside. Gaming suits me better :)

I had my first notebook when I was doing my graduate studies.. bought a sony vaio, costs me $3799 tat time.. I mus b realli crazy to buy tat notebook.... hahaha.. The notebook was very good, lasted me till end of my course. I killed my notebook due to excessive gaming. the motherboard got overheated, n the spare part was obsolete =X Switched to desktop after that, since I do not have to carry my computer around.

Talking about convenience, notebook is definitely better than desktop, but if there's a lot of gaming, desktop will b better, as the graphics + sound hv to b taken into consideration. Jus bought an Acer notebook last Sep, cos my desktop always died on me... Though it has been repaired now, having 2 computers will b better for me as I will die without computer...... =X

Lenovo is having some quite good deals with their desktops n notebooks. As for home users, Lenovo Y410 is quite a good deal:

Acer is having a Great Singapore sale roadshow at Funan IT mall. From their website, I like the Aspire 4920G series. Around the specs which I m looking for. For eg. Aspire 4920G-6A3G25Mn is jus below my budget. At additional $200 more gives a better processor n 1Gb more ram.. seems to b the general trend.

My notebook choices

Have been keeping a lookout for a new notebook. Mus at least hv a 13inch screen (preferably 14inch), 1Gb ram, reasonable graphic card for gaming n watching video, storage size of at least 120Gb n <$1600.. Many told me tis notebook is easy to find. I have been looking at hardwarezone n the individual notebook company websites for the past few weeks, so as to keep myself updated on the prices. Aiming to buy it at the PCshow in mid June ;)

DELL is definitely one of my options, since they r heavily advertised in TODAY newspaper. I m looking at one of their Inspiron series, Inspiron 1420:

Bro Nic has a brandnew Sony Vaio notebook CR22G for sale. I like Vaio, as it's my first notebook. But Sony Vaio is kinda branded for a user like me. Probably I will KIV as one of my options

I guess Acer, ASUS, HP computers are also in my options, but I m not very familiar with their models. Toshiba is always my fav brand, definitely one of my options. Dun tink I will look into Fujitsu (too exp), NEC (=_=), LG and samsung bah... not very adventurous to try.
