Havent been uploading my nephews' pics for quite a while. Din bring them out these few months, n they r quite snappy these few weeks oso. Managed to take 2 pics of them, 1 ea when they were watching me playing online game. Haha.. I find them very compromising too. Kydric tried to smile in front of the camera but failed... he still not sure how to smile properly, but the pic turned out very good. Kyan looks so much better tis time. He was smiling with all his teeth the previous time when we were at Jurong bird park.. haha.
Saw tis CJ7 soft toy when browsing some blogs... so so so cute.. hope I can find 1 in Shanghai... hmmm...
Since Jay's concert, I hv been keeping a lookout for the upcoming concert tis yr. Saw a few good ones, but still deciding cos need to know at least 60% of their songs before going for the concert... If not, I will feel very left out. =.=
For this month:
1) A symphony orchestra concert by Jeff Chang (张信哲) on the 15th at The MAX Pavilion@Singapore Expo. Tix r selling fast, only the $128 tix r available, the rest r either sold out or left with single seats.
2) On the 29th, there's a Wu Bai & China Blue Asia Tour 2008搖滾之王 - 伍佰『妳是我的花朵』2008年亞洲巡迴演唱会 at Sun Tec. As expected, seats r availabe... =p I believe my frens will not b interested too..
For the next few months:
3) Tis is the one which my sis wants to go.. but her tummy is getting bigger, dun tink David will permit her to go to crowded places.. David Tao 2008『陶喆 123 我们都是木头人 世界巡回演唱会』on the 19Apr at Singapore Indoor stadium. Tix r selling not as fast as I expected. He's popular in Singapore, u know, so still figuring out y there r avaliable tix.. Hmmm...
4) The May Day (五月天) is coming for their Mayday [Down To Earth] Singapore Concert 2008五月天 [回到地球表面] 新加坡演唱會 2008 on 26 Apr at Singapore Indoor stadium. I heard from my colleagues tat their previous concert was very 劲爆, n they seem to hv bought the tix for tis concert.. HhMmmmm..
5) Harlem Yu World Tour 2008 庾澄慶2008世界巡迴演唱會 on the 24 Mar at Singapore Indoor stadium. Havent heard any new albums from him, so most likely he's singing his old songs. I dun tink I will go for tis one too...
Heard Angela 张韶涵 postponed her concert in Apr till further notice. I find it very strange... Many other concerts by veteran singers like 钟镇涛 (Ah B), 郑少秋, 鳳飛飛 and 甄妮 not mentioned as I dun belong to their era..
Finally bought my phone.. Hv always wanted to change to a sony ericsson phone, cos nokia is driving me nuts.. Though the technology for nokia is good, I tink sony ericsson is still slightly better. I like the walkman phone in particular. Wanted to buy it last yr, but the red color was out-of-stock. Personally the red color is definitely nicer as a girl phone
Took 2 pics at work, on my workdesk, the other my lab working area... The lights in the fumehood is off, so it's not veri clear wat's inside =p The camera is 2megapixels, no auto focus or flash. so I believe it's still reasonable in taking pic. Mayb I shud take some pics at home if I want to test out the camera..
3 chinese movies this CNY.. CJ7, Kung Fu Dunk and Ah Long Pte Ltd. I have watched Jay Chou's movie yesterday, n personally, if u go with low expectation, tis movie will definitely prove entertaining. I like the storyline, some crappy jokes, n oso e basketball scenes. If u hv read Jap comic Slam dunk, u will see some familiar scenes too. Qiang told me not to watch Ah Long, says the jokes r not funny at all.. for CJ7, i hv heard good n bad feedbacks, so I m still considering about tis movie.
My mum noticed tis nursery when she was travellig in bus 185. Went down with her last night see see look look. The place was damn big. We can't finish looking at all the plants...
The flower pots above r selling at $10 for 3 pots. Damn cheap right. Mum says they can last a few months. The fragrant from the flowers is quite refreshing too.
The pic on the above left is man-made. It's the Guanyin bamboo, and they tied the bamboo in such a way which resemble the "thousand hands Guanyin". $108 for tis pot though... The mandarin orange pots on the above right is very impressive oso.. The oranges look like any other oranges we see in supermarkets. But not sure if I would dare to eat.. =X
I find the prices very reasonable. If u wish to get something to give your house a more CNY atmosphere, I suggest u to come to tis nursery. U may end up buying more than my mum.. Haha.
I would say Jay is getting better n better in his dance move. Very surprised to see him involved in some of the dance step in his songs. During his first 2 concerts, I dun remember him doing any dance movement.. LOL. We got quite fun ppl ard us. All very sporty. Some even practised their "cheering movement" b4 the concerts starts!
Compared to Fish Leong's concert last Dec, Jay's concert is realli shocking. We did e same routine as Fish's concert, went early at abt 6.30pm for dinner, then walked ard e mall, then walked to e stadium. Very few ppl, n e concerts started at 8.45pm ~~>_<~~ BUT on e 19Jan, reached at e same time, but e carpark is almost full.. mall is crowded, needed to quene for all food, no matter food court, Jap food, Subway, KFC, Pastamania, etc.. even e expensive Thai food oso need to quene.. FAINT... e most impt thing is that>>> the sovernir counter at e entrance was packed with ppl.. a snake quene of at least 50plus ppl were thr to buy his sovernir, like keychain, figurines, etc. I bought his latest CD for 9 bucks cos wanna support his album sales mah =p

Din expect my tooth extraction to be so scary.. taking the numb jab was still ok.. a little painful when taken at the inner part.. but the way the doctor was pulling out my tooth.. i can nv forget.. at tat very moment, I feel like giving up. Tis is how I felt at the moment...........
Din wanna scare u guys with my tooth though I hv taken a pic of them.. will b going thru the same procedure on wed, for the other side, as I need to extract 4 tooths in total. I hope to take tis opportunity to lose some weight =p I believe it shd b successful >_<...
Heard of this seasonal dish from my china colleague..
泥鳅 which is loach can be found in low tide water, near the muddy area. This fish is quite small, with whiskers. To prepare tis dish, the loach hv to be starved for 3 days to clear their intestines. After that, they were washed and seasoned in wine/alcohol alive.. the soup is firstly brought to boil, then the dou fu is added. Then the loach r added, with the lid closed... As the water is too hot, so the loach will try to escape. The dou fu is still not hot, so they will try to crawl into the cold dou fu... tis is how the dish was named.
The pic above is the best I can get... heard tat if the loach did not crawl into the dou fu, tis means tat the loach is not fresh, or may hv died b4 added into the soup. But if the loach managed to crawl into the dou fu completely, they called it the 泥鳅王, king of loach.. faint.. I can't imagine tat they hv such a dish. It's quite popular in some places in china. Any1 tasted tis b4??
